Summary
Active UK funds achieved an average return of +8.21% in 2024, trailing the SPDR FTSE All Share ETF by -0.82% and with 40.4% of funds outperforming the benchmark during the year.
Individual fund performance showed fairly large dispersion, ranging from a peak of +24.5% to a low of -2.5%, with the majority delivering returns within the 4% to 12% range. Value funds stole the spotlight, posting an impressive average return of 12.3%, outperforming their Aggressive Growth counterparts by 6.4%.
